With its sparkling blue waters, phenomenal mountain scenery and endless recreation, Lake Tahoe is the place to be any time of year. Around the lake there are many lesser-known activities that offer tourists one-of-a-kind experiences in this special place.
There are so many activity options to choose from in Lake Tahoe. We typically complete a short 2-mile round trip hike to Vikingsholm, South Lake Tahoe’s hidden castle. From there, we head down the road to relax on a beautiful stretch of beach with a pier and a lush grassy hill under a mighty pine forest. An American Barbeque lunch is provided (included in the price). We also provide a raft, inner tubes, water guns, Frisbee and football. Kayak or paddle board rentals are also available at the site. There are plenty of trails, a creek and vista points to explore.
Our next stop is either Tahoe City or Stateline, South Lake Tahoe. Tahoe City offers some excellent shopping and eating opportunities, lakefront hiking, a quaint Marina. In Stateline, check out the Hard Rock Casino with its many displays of rock memorabilia. Cross back into California and hang out at Heavenly Ski Resort. There are lots of shopping and eating options. There is so much more that you will see – great views of the lake, forest and canyons and up close views of flowers, native birds and butterflies. During the summer, our trips may coincide with the free Tahoe City Concerts. Each trip is an adventure – unique and dynamic. Lake Tahoe is truly a California treasure. Relax and enjoy the hidden gems of Lake Tahoe!
